Take a look at this video, starting after the cast-on (that will be a regular cast on for us) We will be learning to make these mitered square blankets! Get the idea and I'll be teaching this in this session. Sister Kathleen LOVED her new handmade sweater! I am so proud of all our knitting Knights and their hard work! These following videos will help you practice at home, and watching exactly where to enter a stitch, how to wrap the yarn, and how to exit the stitch-carrying the new yarn through. Over the week while you're away from us, try to watch these videos and practice! And here's a little video for my lefties. The cast on is pretty much how we learned and just skip to minute 3 to play the knit stitch again. Don't worry about anything else yet! These are some pictures to help the non knitters know what you'll need to start knitting club. It's a pair of size 9 knitting needles, plastic metal or wood, and a skein of WORSTED WEIGHT yarn. I suggest Red Heart or Value Yarn. :) |
